Head of Physics
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £250 - £350 per day

GSL Education London Branch is currently looking for a Head of Physics to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary comprehensive school and sixth form for girls in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Physics to take the next step in their career and lead a passionate team of science educators.
As the Head of Physics, you will inspire and lead the development of the Physics curriculum, support student achievement from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, and work closely with staff and leadership to continue building a strong and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Physics department and support the development of teaching and learning.
Plan and deliver outstanding Physics lessons across KS3–KS5.
Support and mentor other science teachers, especially within Physics.
Monitor and track student progress and implement strategies for improvement.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including clubs and enrichment activities.
Requirements:
Previous experience teaching Physics at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
A strong academic background with an A Level in Physics.
A degree in a Physics-related subject.
Proven leadership or middle management experience is highly desirable.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A Geography specialist with experience in other Humanities subjects is also required.
