Associate Solicitor – Agricultural Property (Non-Contentious)
Location: Romsey
Salary: Competitive + benefits
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

I’m recruiting on behalf of a well-respected, Top 200 legal practice seeking an Associate to join their non-contentious Agricultural Property team. This is a brilliant opportunity to work with seasoned experts in a role combining high-quality work, client exposure, and professional development.
Key responsibilities include:

* Acting for farming families, landed estates, and agri-businesses
\t
* Advising on estate planning, succession, and restructuring related to agricultural property
\t
* Handling farm sales and purchases
\t
* Dealing with estate management and agricultural tenancy matters (e.g. AHA, FBT)
\t
* Supporting rural diversification and commercial ventures on agricultural land
\t
* Building long-term client relationships through clear, practical, and timely advice
\t
* Collaborating with a team renowned in the agricultural sector
About you:
\t
* A solicitor with 3+ years PQE in non-contentious rural/agricultural property work (or relevant experience)
\t
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage clients empathetically
\t
* High attention to detail, commercial awareness, and client-focused approach
They are also open to candidates from commercial or residential property backgrounds, provided they have a genuine desire to move into agricultural property law and are willing to learn and develop in this niche area.
