Overview

2026 Graduate Programme - Energy - Power Generation & Gas. Join to apply for this role at WSP. This two-year Graduate Development programme supports personal and professional development through an engaging blended learning experience, mentoring for professional registration, and a breadth of on‑the‑job experience.


What you will be doing

We are recruiting Graduates for the Power Generation and Gas team in locations including Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow and London. You will have a flexible approach and the appetite to learn in a leading engineering and professional advisory services consultancy. You will enjoy working in a collaborative environment where you can apply your skills for a diverse range of clients and projects. You will work across the design stages including feasibility, FEED, conceptual design and detailed design, across a variety of clients within the sector.


Projects

* NGT Project Union East Coast FEED
* Gas Pipeline & Above Ground Installation Design
* NGT asset health design works
* Hydrogen pipeline routing and design
* CO2 pipeline design


Day-to-day activities

* Report writing
* Calculations
* Writing specifications
* Supporting other engineers on projects
* Project coordination and multi-disciplinary project delivery

You will be joining a supportive environment and enthusiastic team, with mentorship from industry experts and the possibility to pursue chartered or incorporated professional status through our accredited pathways.


Graduate Development Programme

Our two-year Graduate Development programme is designed to support personal and professional development through a blended learning experience. The programme includes core business and professional skills training, career development workshops and networking opportunities, mentoring for professional registration and a breadth of on‑the‑job experience.

What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate

You’ll have graduated with at least a 2:1 in a master’s degree in a relevant subject for the role. To assist you in finding potential areas of the business that are relevant to you, please visit our Graduate brochure or Graduate Website.
