This is an opportunity to make a real impact to the lives of young people who need it the most. Lansdowne Secure Children’s home, run by East Sussex, houses some of the most vulnerable young people aged between 10 to 17 from across the UK.
With a skilled team and a nurturing environment, residents have bespoke care plans to support their education and health needs.
Responsibilities
* Lead and plan residential support workers’ shifts
* Lead shifts on a day-to-day basis and ensure children are engaged
* Care for emotional and physical wellbeing; address challenging behaviour in a constructive and proactive way
Requirements
* Be organized
* Be self-motivated
* Have good communication skills
* Ideally experience working with challenging young people and understanding their complex needs and behaviours

Salary and benefits
