Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant Mainstream Primary School Nailsea Start: ASAP / After February Half Term Full-Time | Until End of Academic Year (potential to continue) £90£110 per day (depending on experience) Were working with a supportive mainstream primary school in Nailsea who are looking to appoint a Psychology graduate to join them as a Learning Support Assistant. This role would suit someone considering a future career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Teaching or SEN, and looking to gain hands-on experience working with children in a school setting. Youll be supporting pupils across the school, including children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs. Some 1:1 support may be required. The school has a strong SEN team and provides guidance and structure, making it a great setting for a graduate looking to build practical experience. The role will involve: Supporting pupils in class to access learning Delivering small group interventions Providing 1:1 support where required Assisting with behaviour regulation and emotional support Working closely with teachers and the SENCo The school is looking for someone who: Holds a bachelors degree in psychology (or related subject) Is confident, calm and patient Has an interest in child development and additional needs Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff Is reliable and committed Any experience working with children (schools, tutoring, coaching, care or youth work) would be advantageous, though not essential.
