Offer description

This role is only open to those currently employed by either the University of Sussex, or working at the University through Adecco, SEF or Chartwells.

About The Role

As the Staff Wellbeing Advisor, you will support the Health Safety and Wellbeing team with staff health and wellbeing advice and be a key contact between the Division/School and the divisional function. You will collaborate with stakeholders and other colleagues across the division and the wider University.

You will ensure our wellbeing framework remains aligned with our organisational values and purpose, and that our wellbeing offer is inclusive, responsive to staff needs, and effectively engages employees across our four wellbeing pillars: social, mental, physical and financial wellbeing. You will manage and utilise the occupational health contract to ensure employees get access to the best possible health and wellbeing offer, quality of service and the service provides best value for money.

About You

We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills who can clearly explain policies and complex information and build effective relationships and influence teams.

You’ll be highly organised, able to work independently, and confident managing projects and priorities. You’ll have strong analytical and decision‑making skills, and be confident with IT (particularly Microsoft tools). You will also be skilled at handling sensitive wellbeing disclosures with professionalism, confidentiality and appropriate escalation.
