VANRATH are recruiting an Electrician to carry out repairs and maintenance work to social housing properties for a large, leading Construction Company in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Overview:
The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within residential and commercial properties. This role is to ensure that all electrical work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations and British standards and company & client processes. The Electrician is also responsible for diagnosing faults and performing necessary repairs, maintaining electrical equipment to ensure optimal functionality, they will also be required to carry out electrical installation condition reports.
Responsibilities:
12. Carry out safe isolation in accordance with industry standards and company processes and where necessary documenting it
13. Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring systems, equipment, and accessories, ensuring compliance with the electricity at work regulations 1989 (EAWR), BS 7671 the wiring regulations (latest edition), and the relevant guidance notes
14. Inspection and testing of fixed wiring systems in accordance with BS 7671, guidance notes three and company & client processes
15. Inspection and testing of Inservice electrical equipment
16. Design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems in domestic premises to BS5839-6 (Latest edition)
17. Providing high-quality customer service and addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally
The Ideal Person:
Qualifications:
18. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification
19. AM2
20. Alternatively possess qualifications that predate the above. However, you must be able to obtain an ECS gold card with the qualifications you hold
21. Level 3 Award in the requirements of electrical installations BS 7671 (latest edition)
22. Basic knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in Construction
23. Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance and repairs within the construction industry
24. Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards, including the Electricity at Work Regulations
25. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
