Gee Cheadle Hulme, England, United Kingdom
Brand Copywriter (with SEO Expertise)
Full-Time | In-House (Cheadle Hulme, Manchester)
£30,000–£35,000 per year + performance bonus
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Brand Copywriter (with SEO Expertise) to take full ownership of gee’s voice across every touchpoint - from email and SMS to product pages, blogs, and social media.
If you’re a conversion-focused writer who understands how words move people to act, this role offers the rare chance to shape how a luxury British brand is experienced by women around the world.
This is a hands-on, independent role for someone who thrives on clarity, organisation, and high standards. You’ll write copy that will help to drive growth, retention, and long-term brand trust.
gee is a premium hair extension brand trusted by iconic women including Anne Hathaway, Rebel Wilson, and Eva Longoria. This year, we’ve won three major hair industry awards, including a Marie Claire Hair Award.
Our mission is simple: to help women feel like the most confident version of themselves. Every product we create and every interaction we design is built around that transformation.
We’re a founder-led brand with big ambitions and a small, committed team. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Brand Copywriter (with SEO Expertise) who can elevate our storytelling and strengthen every part of the customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Write and design email flows, campaigns, and SMS that drive conversion and retention.
* Refresh and refine product descriptions to ensure consistency and clarity.
* Create search-friendly, editorial blog content that educates, inspires, and aligns with our tone of voice.
* Support content strategy with short-form, engaging caption copy for social media.
* Champion and refine our tone of voice across all customer touchpoints.
What We’re Looking For
* 3–5+ years’ experience in copywriting for a DTC brand - ideally in beauty, haircare, fashion, or wellness.
* Proven ability to write for conversion, not just style.
* Strong grasp of e-commerce and customer lifecycle marketing.
* Experience using Klaviyo (or similar).
* A polished, detailed eye for brand tone, consistency, and storytelling.
* A portfolio showing emails, product copy, and retention-led work.
* Independent, proactive, and comfortable making decisions that drive outcomes.
Nice-to-haves: Press releases or outreach experience.
Who You Are
* Professional, positive, and empathetic in your communication.
* Organised and reliable — you don’t need chasing or reminding.
* Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
* Motivated by excellence.

Exceptional work is recognised with both autonomy and reward.
A message from Cindy, Operations Manager
“At gee, exceptional copy has always been at the heart of how we connect with our community. Until now, I’ve personally overseen this, but it’s time to hand it over to someone who can take full ownership and lead the next stage of our client journey. We’re looking for someone who wants to take the reins - to shape the way we speak, write, and serve our clients. If you’re passionate about beautiful, persuasive copy and want to grow with a premium brand, I’d love to hear from you.”
£30,000–£35,000 depending on experience and your ability to independently handle ownership of the role.
A performance bonus is available based on KPIs.
