Skin Analytics is an award-winning, health tech company that works with dermatology teams to deploy world-leading skin cancer pathways using AI as a medical device, DERM.

DERM is deployed at more than 25 NHS organisations where we're supporting dermatology teams to build sustainable services that enable patients to gain quicker access to skin cancer diagnosis. London based - Hybrid (3 days a week in the office)
As the Head of QA Engineering, you will lead, develop, and scale the QA function across all business units, ensuring our products are safe, high-quality, and compliant with regulatory standards. The Head of QA Engineering will drive a strategic, risk-based approach to quality and empower the team to support rapid, reliable delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Work in a matrixed environment - multiple business units and senior stakeholders.
* Delivering fast-paced product development cycles - with short deadlines and real-world consequences.
* Using limited resources - requiring prioritisation of highest-risk areas.
* Highly regulated environment - requiring traceability, auditability, and design controls.
* Working with tools and technologies - e.g. Jira, BitBucket, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, Playwright and Postman – or equivalent.
* Build strong working partnerships - with Regulatory, Clinical, Engineering, Product, and Operations.
Requirements
We want to hear from you if you
Have experience in:
* Deep experience leading QA in a software product organisation, ideally within regulated industries (SaMD, medtech, fintech).
* Proven expertise in setting up or evolving QA strategy across multiple products or teams.
* Strong command of modern QA methodologies including exploratory testing, test automation, performance testing, and CI/CD integration.
* Experience with risk-based testing and working within quality management systems (ISO 13485, 27001, or equivalent).
* Experience working with AI/ML pipelines is a strong plus.
Skin Analytics manufactures medical devices and complies with ISO standards 13485 and As part of your employment, you will be assigned Quality Management System (QMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS). We require that our employees agree to complete their assigned training and diligently follow all company quality management and information security processes.
*The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has recommended DERM for use within the NHS until May 2028, while further evidence is gathered.
