Offer description

Teacher of ICT, Computing and Business Full or Part Time MPS – UPS £32,916 - £51,047 subject to annual progression Permanent position, from January 2026 We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher of ICT, Computing and Business, committed to facilitating high levels of progress and engagement, creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom ethos for all. This role is suitable for ECTs or more experienced teachers. As a school, we are currently investing in our Technology area with a strategy to realise our vision to enhance digital learning across the school and enable learners to thrive using modern and forward-thinking digital resources. The Technology team consists of a team of highly skilled and committed teachers and technicians who are united in their drive to develop pupils’ skills and knowledge, whilst enhancing their life choices. The faculty are on an exciting journey and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of a team who are committed to ensuring that pupils engage positively and achieve well across a range of technology subjects. The role will involve teaching across both KS3 and KS4.At Langley, we prioritise positive relationships between staff and students. Langley is an exciting place to learn and work. We are incredibly proud of the way our staff and young people work collaboratively to fulfil our school motto ‘to be the best we can be’. Langley is a wonderful place to work and learn. We are a committed, compassionate community united in our mission to being fully inclusive, celebrating diversity and promoting equality in all that we do. Every learner matters and matters equally at Langley. We were visited by Ofsted in March 2023 and were graded Good. We are very proud of our inclusive, welcoming school where pupils behave and learn in a calm and purposeful environment. Our school’s fundamental principles focus on supporting, challenging and inspiring the whole Langley community ‘to be the best that we can be’. But these are not simply words on paper. Students, staff and governors genuinely give all they can, to bring those principles to life every day. Examinations are critically important, of course, and our students achieve superbly well in them, but we truly believe in developing young people to deal with the tests of their lifetime, not merely to endure a lifetime of tests. Everyone who visits us comments on the unique ethos of our school as well as our commitment to inclusivity. If you are interested in the post and would like to find out more about our school before applying, please email our Head of Computing, Business Studies and iMedia Nasar Fennelly, at s206nfennelly@langley.solihull.sch.uk. Please find attached a person specification, job description, candidate pack and our application and recruitment monitoring form. We look forward to receiving your application. Please email to Headteacher's PA, Becky Friend, at s206rfriend@langley.solihull.sch.uk Closing date: Sunday 5th October 2025 Proposed interview date: Tuesday 14th October 2025 Langley School staff, governors and students are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of students and staff.
