My client in Lytham have been established for over 50 years and has a global presence with production facilities in the UK, India and China. They design and manufacture their own products and assemblies for various applications within various industries, hosting a range of CNC Machining and specialist manufacturing processes. Through growth they are looking for a CNC Turner to join their team on a permanent basis. Whether you are a programmer, setter, operator or a setter, operator - you will be considered for this role. Working Hours: (Backshift) Monday - Thursday 2:00pm-12:00am Shift allowance: 22% Responsibilities: Preparing, programming, setting and operating CNC machines to perform turningand drilling operations - Working on predominantly new Nakamura lathes (Fanuc controls) - General capacity is Nakamura and Mazak machinery. 2 axis machinery with live tooling capabilities. - Hands on with programming, setting and running of lathes. - Machining of varied products which can range from a small batch of 50 parts, to long runs of 3000 parts. Preparation and loading of raw materials and parts onto the machines Inspect and measure finished products against requirements Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality To comply with all Health and Safety regulations and instructions To comply with all relevant Standards including ISO 9001. Requirements: Fanuc/G code programming essential Experience as a CNC setter/programmer Able to use precision measuring equipment Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and engineering drawings Mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills Good communication skills Team player with ability to take on individual tasks as required Ability to work to deadlines and targets
