Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Pharmacy Aseptic Services Supervisor to provide strategic leadership for our aseptic production unit at RGH. You will oversee the manufacture of aseptically prepared medicines, ensuring compliance with GMP, COSHH and all statutory and quality requirements. You will analyse production workload data, lead service improvements, and act as a key member of the Senior Management Team.
You will manage and develop a team of Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants, lead recruitment and training, and support trainees and students. The role includes contributing to Quality Risk Management, product development, and preparing for regulatory inspections.

Main Duties
* Lead and plan aseptic production activities and clean room schedules
* Line‑manage technical staff, including recruitment, supervision and development
* Analyse data and implement service improvements
* Maintain production operator competencies
* Manage stock, raw materials, hazardous items and CDs
* Support QRM, audits and self‑inspections
* Oversee equipment monitoring, maintenance and documentation

Qualifications and Knowledge
* Postgraduate diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology & Quality Assurance (PTQA) or a relevant postgraduate science qualification plus Pharmacy Science Training Programme (STP) or vocational training with additional knowledge equivalent to a postgraduate diploma gained through work experience.
* Accredited Pre‑ and In‑process Checking (or ability to undertake).
* Management qualification or accreditation, or equivalent team management experience.
* Appropriate Professional Registration.
Desirable
* Accredited Product Approver (S10 Medical Act) and Cleaning Supervision (CRS) accreditation (or ability to undertake).
* Training qualification or accreditation, or equivalent experience.
Experience
* Experience working in a pharmacy production unit or comparable production environment.
* Experience of managing people, recruitment and selection, scheduling workplans, managing attendance and having difficult conversations.
* Experience of stock management of hazardous and time‑limited materials.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
