Estimator – Light Gauge Steel / Steel Framing Systems Location: Darlington (Office-Based)

An established and growing steel framing specialist in Darlington is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator with a solid background in Light Gauge Steel (LGS) and Steel Framing Systems (SFS).
This is a great opportunity to join a business involved in a wide range of residential, commercial, and modular projects across the UK. You’ll be working closely with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for steel frame construction projects.
Role Overview:
Prepare and deliver detailed cost estimates for LGS and SFS projects
Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing and material costs
Produce Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender returns, and supporting documentation
Work collaboratively with design, technical, and delivery teams to support project planning
✅ What You'll Need:
Estimating experience within Light Gauge Steel or Structural Framing Systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Proficiency with estimating software and Excel
Clear communicator with a detail-focused approach
