A Project Manager requirement for a Tier 1 Main Contractor in Cambridgeshire.
About:
The role is to lead the fit out of a large government scheme across 3 buildings, all from the first fix through to the handover which is in the Autumn of 2027.
You will be leading a team of 3 Senior Site Managers, each will be looking after a block individually. Upstream there is an on-site is a Senior Project Manager who you will be reporting to however they are expecting someone to be totally autonomous.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites.
* Enforce health & safety protocols, manage risks, and address any issues promptly.
* Coordinate with various stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, to keep the project on track.
* Maintain quality standards by monitoring workmanship, materials, and adherence to specifications.
* When challenges arise, you will find solutions to keep the project moving forward.
* Effectively communicate by liaising with team members, report progress, and address concerns.
Requirements:
* Proven experience delivering large-scale projects from an internals perspective.
* Strong track record managing managers, contractors, programme, and budget
* Confident, hands-on site-based PMs
* Familiarity with MS Project or similar
* Government building experience beneficial but not essential
* SMSTS, Black Card/NVQ Level 6 certs
