My client, one of the UK's fastest growing PE-backed property businesses, are looking to hire a technically strong Finance Manager to join their brand new offices in South Manchester.
The Finance Manager will take ownership of a growing sub-group, overseeing the consolidation whilst managing a team of 3. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial strategy and control in a dynamic business. The business is PE-backed, so the successful candidate will be adaptable and able to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment, with huge opportunities for long term success.
What you'll do:
* Lead preparation of group consolidations and cash flow statements in accordance with IFRS
* Oversee the onboarding of new assets and the accounting for newly created legal entities
* Monitor and manage debt compliance, liaise with lenders, and oversee covenant reporting
* Collaborate with the treasury team to manage cash flow and forecasting
* Take ownership of the annual reporting and audit process across the group
* Develop and enhance internal controls and ensure accuracy of financial data
* Oversee VAT, CIT returns, and liaise with tax advisors where necessary
* Provide financial insights and support to operational and non-financial managers
* Prepare and present monthly and quarterly management accounts to the senior leadership team and board
* Conduct lease accounting and detailed revenue variance analysis at the lease level
* Manage a team of 3 accountants
What you bring:
* ACA / ACCA qualified with strong post-qualification experience
* Excellent technical accounting skills, particularly IFRS and complex group consolidations
* Real estate sector experience preferred (e.g. understanding of NOIs, lease structures, debt structures)
* Proven track record managing multiple entities in a fast-paced, growing environment
* Strong communicator with the ability to engage with non-finance stakeholders and senior leadership
* Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues
