What is this role?

This is a full-time mid-level role for an experienced research operations professional.


As a Mid-Level Research Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the smooth and efficient execution of our research projects. You will be the linchpin connecting our research team with our valuable insight community, optimizing our operational processes, and championing the adoption of research technology and automation.


This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional with 3-5 years of experience in research operations to make a tangible impact on inclusive research, work with a remarkable highly engaged community (based mainly in the UK and USA) and contribute to a more accessible world


Key Responsibilities:


Insight Community Engagement:

* Serve as the key point of contact in research communications with our proprietary disability and age-informed insight community.
* Develop and execute effective communication strategies for participant recruitment, research engagement and community development across projects and over time.
* Manage and progress participant communication relating to scheduling and making incentive payments with efficiency and care. Work with the payments team to make this smooth, efficient and easy for researchers, the participants and the payment team.
* Maintain and update our community database (CRM system), serving as administrator, ensuring data accuracy, security and compliance.
* Drive community awareness and engagement through newsletters, showcasing insight or research impact. Work with the Global Community Manager to ensure the being a part of the Open Insight Community is a great experience and more than transactional.
* Gather feedback from the community to continuously improve engagement strategies and participant experience.


Research Project Engagement:

* Support the research team in all stages of the research lifecycle, from project setup to data collection and analysis.
* Assess, progress and maintain clear documentation for research participants and internal processes.
* Coordinate logistics for research activities, including scheduling interviews, focus groups, and surveys.
* Develop and lead online screening and survey management workflows. This includes but is not limited to survey programming, data quality, data cleaning, in field monitoring, reporting, and partnering with vendors.
* Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and data privacy regulations.
* Troubleshoot operational challenges and proactively identify solutions.


Technology adoption and automation:

* Support the leadership team identify, evaluate, and implement research technologies and tools that will enhance efficiency and quality across both qualitative and quantitative research.
* Develop and maintain automated workflows for participant recruitment, communication, data collection, and reporting.
* Provide training and support to the research team on the effective use of research technologies.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in research technology and identify opportunities for innovation.
* Contribute to the development of internal tools and resources to streamline research operations.


Collaboration

* Work closely with senior researchers, Global Community Leader and project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed.
* Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.


Overall

* Be an advocate for inclusive research, design and innovation.
* Continually build industry recognition for the value of specifically inclusive insight and design.
* Help us continually improve and be efficient. Look to make every task or project easier and more successful than the last to maximize efficiency, delivery quality and impact.

Role requirements

* 3 - 5 years of relevant research operations experience
* You must have permission to work in the UK
* You must have no criminal record and be willing to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check in the UK or equivalent
* You must be prepared to provide at least two references from people you have directly worked with in relevant roles
* We envisage the role will be full time however we are also open to people who wish to work 4 days a week.
