An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Ophthalmology Health Records Clerk to join our team within Singleton Hospital.

We offer a positive and flexible work environment. Working as part of a team. Full time hours available, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30 am and 5.30 pm

The post holder will be required to have previous clerical/ administrative
experience with good communication skills. They should have a positive approach to the needs of the service, be motivated and ready for the next challenge. They should enjoy working as part of a busy and friendly team.

This post is a permanent position

Main duties of the job

To be the Ophthalmology medical records clerk responsible for the organising and prepping of all clinical notes for the ophthalmology service running from Singleton hospital.

Act as an administration assistant for the department, the role will require the post holder to provide administration services which will include good
communication skills and the production of documents, updating of systems, collating of information, mail distribution, filing, typing, booking venues etc.

1. Educated to vocation level 2

2. Knowledge of WPAS, iFIT
3. IT qualification

Experience

4. Experience working in an administrative role
5. Knowledge of data protection

6. Experience working within medical records departments within the NHS

8. Communication skills

Desirable criteria

9. Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh.
