Compact Security Services - Accounts Assistant
Compact Security Services are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-focused individual to join our team as an Accounts Assistant.
Responsibilities include:
1. Oversee the Purchase Ledger for multiple companies, ensuring smooth invoice processing and accurate supplier statements.
2. Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions, ensuring documentation is organized and up-to-date.
3. Evaluate subcontractor invoices against the weekly shift schedule and proactively communicate any concerns with Operational Managers for swift resolution.
4. Handle monthly staff expense reports, ensuring all submissions contain receipts and formal approval.
5. Conduct weekly bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
6. Prepare weekly payment runs for two businesses efficiently.
7. Manage accounts inboxes and address email and telephone inquiries promptly.
8. Assist the Finance team with various ad-hoc tasks and requests.
Ideal candidate qualities:
* Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
* At least 2 years of experience in a finance department in a similar role.
* Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Capable of prioritizing effectively to meet tight weekly deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
* Proficient in MS Excel, particularly with functions like SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, and VLOOKUP.
* Experience with Sage 50 Accounts is desirable.
This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, based at our office. We offer a pension plan, employee assistance programme, and our office is conveniently located with excellent transportation links and free parking.
