This exciting role allows you to deliver clinical excellence, improve patient outcomes, and provide a positive patient experience.
The internal course has been designed as a blended programme that will require some self-learning amongst other approaches. This means that it will be a combination of face to face, eLearning, and virtual delivery, along with assessment, placement and portfolio completion. The face-to-face element will be 6-weeks in duration, with the total course length anticipated to be around 12-months, including e-Learning, portfolio completion and placement.

1. Operational Experience Requirement: You must have at least 12 months of relevant operational experience. This experience must be completed by the end of October 2025. If you will have less than 12 months of experience by that date, you will be automatically rejected.
2. Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergency and Urgent Care Support Requirement: You must have completed Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergency and Urgent Care Support. Partial completion is not acceptable. If you haven’t completed the qualification in full, you will be automatically rejected.

Main duties of the job
The duration of the training is approximately 12 months. During this training period, Agenda for Change Annex 21 Training salary will apply; starting salary £22,621.50 per annum or retain current salary if higher. Those that successfully complete the course will then automatically be eligible to continue in a qualified Emergency Medical Technician role with the Trust.
Once qualified moving to Band 4 £27, 485 per annum (2025/26 AfC pay scale).
