A well-established and highly regarded special school in Theale is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time, term-time role supporting secondary-aged students (11–16) with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a structured, supportive and inclusive learning environment, where staff work collaboratively to help students overcome barriers to learning and develop both academically and personally. This position offers real scope for professional growth and could lead to a permanent contract for the right candidate. About the Role: Working alongside skilled teachers and specialists, you’ll provide tailored support to students who may be facing challenges with emotional regulation, engagement or behaviour. Your focus will be on helping students build trust, stay engaged in their learning and develop essential life skills. This is a role that requires consistency, empathy and a calm, confident presence.
