We’re seeking qualified Occupational Therapists to join our client’s team as Functional Assessors. This hybrid role is based in Southampton (SO14), offering a mix of home working and on-site assessments. You’ll carry out functional assessments for individuals applying for disability-related benefits, focusing on how their health conditions impact their ability to perform work-related tasks. This is a non-treatment role centred on assessment and reporting, with full training provided. What You’ll Do Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments in a supportive, non-clinical environment. Evaluate how physical and mental health conditions affect work capability. Review medical evidence and claimant information to produce clear, structured reports for decision-makers. What You’ll Need Minimum 1 year post-registration experience as an Occupational Therapist. Current registration with HCPC. Strong communication, observation and IT skills. Ability to write clear, structured reports. What’s on Offer Salary: £40,000 starting salary. Work-life balance: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, no nights or weekends. Hybrid working: Minimum 2 days per week at a local consultation centre.
