Job Description What will you be doing? We're seeking a talented individual to join our team in Birmingham, predominately responsible for the preparation of the annual financial accounts within the timeframe agreed with the client or required by statute. Also, if required, accurate processing of clients financial data and the preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts and undertaking the preparation of VAT returns and other VAT compliance. There is the possibility of AAT/ACCA support in the role for the right candidate. As Accounts Assistant, your responsibilities will include among others Prepare annual financial statements including statutory accounts, partnership accounts, sole trader accounts and trust accounts for tax purposes. Manage portfolio of clients. Visit client premises to undertake on-site accounting needs as required. On occasion prepare and input client transactions into computerised ledger system if required. On occasion preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts for clients if required. On occasion prepare monthly/quarterly/annual VAT returns from financial information supplied by client if required. Preparing Intrastat and ECC sales lists for clients. On occasion completion of other VAT services including registration, de-registrations, options to tax etc as required.
