Asset Manager
We're looking for a proactive, organised Asset Manager to take ownership of our plant and equipment operations. This is a key role focused on keeping assets visible, well-utilised, and cost-efficient—helping the business run smoothly while supporting smarter decision-making.
The role
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of plant and equipment, ensuring all assets are accurately tracked, allocated to the right projects, and off-hired at the right time to avoid unnecessary costs. Maximising utilisation and maintaining control of spend will be central to your success.
A key part of the role will be managing the servicing, maintenance, and compliance of all assets—ensuring inspections are completed on time, records are up to date, and equipment remains safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.
Working closely with operational teams, you'll plan ahead to meet project demands, ensure correct cost coding, and keep documentation accurate and up to date. You'll also build strong relationships with suppliers to support efficient delivery, maintenance provision, and value for money.
This role goes beyond administration—you'll play an active part in improving how things are done. From monitoring usage trends and reducing waste to carrying out inspections and maintaining stock levels, you'll help drive continuous improvement across the function.
Regular travel to depots will keep you connected to day-to-day operations and give you a clear view of priorities on the ground.
What we're looking for
* Experience in asset, plant, equipment, or stock management
* Experience managing servicing, maintenance schedules, and compliance requirements
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Confidence using systems and data to support tracking, reporting, and cost control
* Proven ability to manage or support teams
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and asset/stock systems
* Full UK driving licence
