Significant investment continues to be made in machinery, facilities and people, creating an excellent opportunity for a driven manufacturing leader to make a lasting impact.This is more than a traditional Manufacturing Manager role - you'll have the opportunity to run a " business within a business", taking ownership of operational performance, team development, continuous improvement and future growth.The RoleReporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic development of the machine shop.Key Responsibilities: Lead, motivate and develop a team of machinists, supervisors and production personnelDrive operational excellence across CNC machining and grinding activitiesImplement lead manufacturing, continuous improvement and best practice production processesImprove key operational metrics including quality, productivity, delivery performance and costLead change management initiatives to modernise manufacturing operationsAbout You - Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager or Machine Shop Manager within a precision engineering environmentStrong knowledge of CNC machining, grinding processes, manufacturing methods and materialsDemonstrable success implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen or Continuous Improvement initiativesExperience leading and developing teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong commercial awareness with the ability to balance quality, delivery and cost objectivesQualifications Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar disciplineWhy Apply?
