Role Responsibilities
* Maintain FTTP infrastructure, including fibre optic cables and related equipment.
* Ensure high-speed internet delivery to customer premises.
* Support installation teams with signal testing, splicing, and pre-terminated connections (overhead and underground).
* Inspect and repair network equipment on telegraph poles, including fibre splicing.
* Maintain, install, and upgrade equipment on communication towers safely.
* Conduct fault-finding using OTDR and light reading tools.
* Manage and optimise backbone network infrastructure, including wireless connections.
* Collaborate with Technical Support and Network Operations to resolve issues.
* Update and maintain accurate technical documentation.
* Assist with network upgrades and stay updated on new technologies.
* Service customer installations and troubleshoot as needed.
* Operate vehicles and MEWPs safely, performing routine checks.
* Work in adverse weather or during off-hours as required, including on-call duties.
* Undertake additional tasks ensuring safety and control.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
* Knowledge of PIA regulations.
* Experience with diagnostics of CPE/ONT/NTE, including wireless, mobile, and FTTP.
