Your new role
As a Group Tax Manager, you will play a key role within a dynamic in‑house tax function, supporting the organisation's UK tax compliance, reporting and advisory requirements. Working closely with finance, audit and wider stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing UK corporation tax computations, returns and supporting analysis
2. Supporting quarterly instalment calculations and tax forecasting
3. Assisting with monthly, quarterly and year‑end tax reporting
4. Working closely with auditors and supporting tax disclosures
5. Maintaining strong tax governance and documentation, including SAO compliance
6. Supporting HMRC queries and information requests
7. Providing input on business queries, including expense treatment and with holding tax
8. Assisting with transfer pricing data and documentation
9. Carrying out technical research and supporting tax planning initiatives
10. Identifying opportunities to improve tax processes, controls and use of tax technology
This role offers broad exposure across tax compliance, reporting and advisory in a commercially focused environment.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring:
11. A recognised tax or accounting qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
12. Strong experience in UK corporate tax, either from industry or practice
13. A solid understanding of UK corporation tax compliance and reporting requirements
14. Experience working with or supporting GAAP and audit processes
15. The ability to interpret tax legislation and apply it practically to business scenarios
16. Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative working style
17. A proactive mindset with an interest in process improvement and tax technology
