Bank Theatre Housekeeper | Competitive Hourly Rate | Flexible Working | Leeds – LS8
Spire Leeds are looking for an experienced Housekeeper to join the staffing bank team in the Theatre department. This is a flexible position and will ideally suit someone who is looking for the work/life balance.
Shift patterns for this role when required is between Monday – Saturday – 18.00 – 21.00
Please note this is a bank position and will be adhoc shifts.
Spire Leeds Hospital, located in Roundhay, Leeds, has been treating patients for almost 30 years. We are the region’s largest private hospital in terms of the range of services we offer and the number of consultants we work with. The hospital offers a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres, a sterile services department, a dedicated endoscopy suite, and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. There are outpatient and physiotherapy departments providing services six days per week
Duties and responsibilities;
1. Ensure that the theatre rooms are ready for their next surgical appointments
2. Recovery rooms are serviced to high standard
3. Departments and public areas are cleaned
4. Comply with daily and weekly cleaning schedules
5. Liaise and take direction from nursing staff and other departments.
6. Be flexible and accommodate changes as necessary in providing continuity of care and Quality Improvement
7. To assist the nursing staff to ensure patient rooms are ready for admission
8. To support other members of the team, with occasional supervision of less experienced staff
Who we're looking for
9. No formal qualifications are required, but the post holder should have good basic knowledge of domestic procedures
10. Must flexible to attend shifts to cover holidays and sickness’ to fit the need for the business
11. Ideally have previous experience as a Housekeeper in a hospital setting is advantageous
12. Must have previous experience in housekeeping
13. Have the ability to prioritise the daily workload to ensure that the necessary tasks are completed within the required timescales
