About The Role
The CNC Milling Operator will work primarily with Horizontal Milling Machines using Fanuc and Haas control systems. Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor and Head of Machining, you'll ensure the quality and precision of products. The role involves working 37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm, and Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Interpret detailed technical drawings and specifications, adhering to tight tolerances.
* Programme, set, and operate CNC Horizontal and Vertical milling machines with expertise.
* Edit and verify programmes using your programming knowledge, especially in Fanuc and Haas systems.
* Machining exotic materials such as Duplex, Super Duplex, Aluminium Bronze, Inconel, Monel, Titanium, and Stellite.
* Focus on small batches and one-off pieces, ensuring high-quality finishes.

You should be an experienced CNC Milling Operator with proficiency in Fanuc and Haas controls, a passion for engineering, and a willingness to embrace technological advancements. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards, and a forward-thinking mindset that challenges the status quo, are essential.
