Role Purpose
The postholder plays a pivotal leadership role in the delivery of preventative public health nursing services for children and families. The postholder will manage a local public health nursing team and coordinate staff resources. The role focuses on early intervention, safeguarding and improving community health outcomes. It also requires strong partnership working with health services and other agencies.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate public health nursing services.
* Manage, coordinate and support a local health visiting team.
* Undertake community health needs assessments and deliver early help interventions.
* Work in partnership with health service, education and social care agencies.
Essential Skills/Experience
Registered Health Visitor with Public Health Specialist degree. Proven leadership experience with working knowledge of Public Health and Preventative Strategy. Strong safeguarding knowledge and the ability to manage caseloads and teams. Ability to organize and deliver education in teams or 1:1.
