Nixor is seeking Principal/Lead Architects with Life Insurance / Assurance industry knowledge to join a newly formed architecture team for the UKs largest Mutual Pensions company. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of their technology landscape as they transition from legacy systems to a modern, microservices-based architecture.
About the Role
As a Lead Architect, you will own your domain, overseeing applications, cloud infrastructure, and services. You will be part of a new team transforming a legacy "spaghetti" architecture into a modern microservices architecture, starting this transformative journey with full backing and funding.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical oversight for your domain
* Collaborate with the board and senior stakeholders
* Lead the transition from monolithic to microservices architecture
* Define and implement standards for development, security, and observability
* Mentor junior architects and technical teams
* Act as the technical contact for your business unit
