Pay, Hours and Benefits
1. £27,000 - £33,000 dependant on experience
2. 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm (with some flexibility)

The IT Frontline Service Technician role is commutable from the following areas: Derby, Nottingham, Sutton in Ashfield, Mansfield, Chesterfield.
IT Frontline Service Technician Role Overview
This is an exciting time for the business as the continue with their business expansion and the successful candidate will have access to some of the latest technology and will be a key member of the team to help shape the direction of IT within the business.
They are looking for an IT Frontline Service Technician that has been doing a 1st/2nd line support role, and that has also had a bit of experience at 3rd line if possible. You will need to be able to triage incoming tickets/requests, diagnose and resolve the tickets as best you can, and escalate up to 3rd line where you are unable to resolve the issue directly, but you will also be taken through the 3rd line resolution with the infrastructure team in order to better develop overall knowledge.
The role currently reports to the Head of IT, you will work closely with the Infrastructure Team on a daily basis but will also be involved with the rest of the IT team on other projects.
Time will be given to the successful candidate to attend any required training courses, and they also have access to Udemy training, so you can attend any of the training courses available if you wish in order to extend your list of skills and experiences.
The business has 6 sites, but the role is based in Derbyshire, with the occasional travel to the other sites as and when required.
IT Frontline Service Technician Candidate Requirements (but not limited to)
6. Microsoft Office Suite
7. Basic networking experience: Understanding of common network devices: Firewalls, routers, switches, and access points Cabling: Patching to switches and making cables
8. Methodical approach to investigating issues using tools such as Google, ChatGPT etc
9. Great people skills with people from diverse backgrounds and IT skills levels
10. Good written and verbal communication skills
11. Reliable and punctual
12. You will have a driving license and access to your own car
13. Candidates must have permanent UK Right to Work
IT Frontline Service Technician Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)
14. Basic end user training
15. Creation and upkeep of documentation in Confluence
16. User onboarding and offboard: Creating new users Assigning rights to relevant software and files Resetting passwords
17. Installation and configuring new and existing desktops, laptops, mobiles phones and tablets
18. Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
19. Repairing and replacing damaged/failed computer and network components
20. Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices
21. To undertake project work as assigned by the IT Management Team
22. Liaise with 3rd party support
23. Stock management of IT equipment
