Support Worker – Supported Living Service
Location: B28 9DP
* Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour
* Shift: Day (full day)
* Schedule: Full‑time 42 hours per week
Responsibilities
* Support people with disabilities, including profound and complex needs, using person‑centred approaches to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
* Provide medication administration, cooking, cleaning and paperwork duties.
* Deliver emotional and practical support.
* Assist residents in accessing community facilities and participating in community groups.
* Build robust relationships to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Empower residents to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Previous experience supporting people with mental health conditions, complex care needs, challenging behaviours, autism, and psychosis.
* Valid driving licence (essential).
* Ability to multitask.
* Strong time‑management, organisational skills, attention to detail and flexibility.
* IT literate.
* Positive “can‑do” attitude.
* Good communication skills.
* Compassionate, caring and positive personality.
* Genuine passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
