This role develops and executes exploratory and automated tests to assess software quality and meet the release target dates by breaking up the development process into attainable testing goals and relaying any issues back to the development and product teams or leaders. Essential Functions Performed by the Position Partner with Engineering and Tech Leads to design for quality. Your focus is on preventing defects rather than detecting them later in the life cycle Review test coverage across all layers (unit, integration, contracts and end-to-end) to ensure meaningful, maintainable tests Contribute hands-on to raise the Quality bar across multiple teams Comfortable and experienced setting up and amending frameworks and CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with Delivery and Product to define ‘what good looks like’ Own quality metrics Lead initiatives around quality tooling, test data, environments, performance and security testing Develop and articulate comprehensive testing strategies for new features, products, or system enhancements. Apply design thinking principles to testing—understanding user needs, identifying potential pain points, and ensuring end-to-end quality. Identify and document edge cases, with a focus on system scalability, performance, and maintainability. Collaborate closely with development and product teams to ensure early defect detection and smooth release cycles. Utilize and maintain QA tooling and automation frameworks to enhance testing coverage and efficiency. Track and report on quality metrics, demonstrating measurable improvements such as reduced defect leakage, faster release cycles, and improved customer satisfaction. Position Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance or a related role, with a strong background in test strategy, automation, and quality engineering across complex systems. Strong expertise in modern testing tools and technologies, including Playwright, Cypress, Postman, and C#. Exposure to performance and security testing is a plus. Experience with pair programming is preferred, demonstrating collaborative development and testing practices. Proficient in using collaboration and project management tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Jira. Certifications/Licenses: Any professional testing certification is a plus. Language Proficiency: Possess effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal (for non-English speaking countries).
