About The Role
As our Bistro assistant, you will be responsible for preparing snacks such as salads, baked potatoes, paninis, sandwiches, and baguettes for residents and guests. You will help maintain our high standards, ensuring our bistro is always clean and safe. You’ll interact with our residents daily—so being friendly, caring, and kind while respecting their dignity at all times is essential. You will also help plan and organize activities for our residents to create a fun and engaging environment, and offer comfort and companionship on a one-to-one basis for residents unable to participate in activities.
Additional Important Responsibilities
* Stay alert to residents’ physical and mental well-being
* Implement the Care Homes Health and Safety policy, including Emergency and Fire procedures
* Organize and accompany residents to off-site activities, which may occasionally occur outside normal working hours
* Ensure catering equipment is in full working order and report faults to Maintenance
* Comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH, and Environmental Health
The Ideal Candidate
Exceptional people make an exceptional care home. We seek individuals with a caring nature who want to work as part of an amazing team, surrounded by kindness and fun. Most roles in our vibrant care home do not require specific qualifications or experience, as full training is provided. We value compassion, a concern for residents’ comfort and happiness, and a desire to make a positive difference in their lives and those of team members.
