Job Description:
Experienced Electrical Supervisor required by our established and highly successful controls and electrical solutions specialist to oversee the activities of a busy electrical team of engineers.
Our client has been established for more than half a century and is recognized as a market leader in high-performance electrical and controls solutions, primarily supplying the automotive sector.
Due to continued success and strategic growth, they are seeking an Electrical Installation Supervisor to join their professional team involved in designing, manufacturing, installing, and maintaining automation and electrical systems across the UK and Europe.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will undertake activities including:
1. Ensuring compliance with H&S and relevant regulations.
2. Overseeing electrical projects to ensure successful completion.
3. Assisting in planning team priorities and tasks.
4. Conducting specialized work to relevant standards using appropriate materials and equipment.
5. Operating and checking specialist equipment.
6. Supervising the team to ensure timely project delivery.
7. Maintaining and checking records as required.
8. Responding to incidents and problems.
9. Reporting to management and attending meetings.
10. Recording and resolving breakdowns and deficiencies.
Additionally, the candidate should have skills in PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens), HMI/SCADA systems (WonderWare, Factory Talk), and a strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).
Requirements include at least 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering, qualifications at ONC level or above in electrical installation or engineering, C&G inspection and test, 18th Edition IEE certification, and the ability to read electrical schematics (EPLAN or similar).
