Offer description

To provide comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service.

We proudly serve a population of 655,000 across rural and urban communities in both North and South Lanarkshire. NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (providing hospital-based services over three main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, and North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.


What we’ll need you to bring

* Educated to standard grade level or experience in a similar role
* Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care
* Excellent communication skills
* Good organisational and planning skills
* Understanding of a range of procedures and processes
* Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure
* Proficient IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft packages
* Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times

Please note: for vacancies where a driving licence is required, this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.


It would be great if you also have

* Relevant experience in an admin/clerical role
* Experience in a confidential work setting
* Experience dealing with members of the public
* Experience assisting with shortlisting
* Ability to work in a busy office environment


Contract type

* Permanent
* Part Time, 34 hours

Please note this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro‑rata.


Location and working pattern

This role will be based in Primary Care Services within Blantyre Health Centre.
