Job Description
What you’ll do:
* Design and install/Refurb electrical systems, such as lighting, control panels, and wiring harnesses, for HGV bodies.
* Ensure compatibility between the vehicle’s chassis and body regarding electrical systems.
* Work with custom specifications to integrate features like power outlets, sensors, and interior lighting.
* Vehicle body modifications.
* Diagnose and repair faults in existing electrical systems within HGV bodies, ensuring that wiring and systems work safely and efficiently.
* maintenance of electrical components, checking for faults in wiring, switches, or control units. Conduct inspections and tests to verify that all electrical installations meet the regulatory requirements for commercial vehicles.
* Involved in final Post Paint Assemble of equipment.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to meet the physical requirements involved, such as manual handling or prolonged standing etc. with reasonable adjustments made where required.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
* Proven experience as an auto technician (HGV, plant, agricultural, or van)
* Must have a good understanding of plant and vehicle systems
* Must have demonstrable experience in manufacturing and HGV engineering/fitting
* Someone who’s conscientious and prides themselves on the quality of their work
* Able to work from own initiative and as part of a team
* A good timekeeper
* Flexible to carry out other duties as required
* Good practical ability working to high standard for new installations
* UK Driving Licence
* HGV Licence is not essential but would be beneficial

Normal working hours are 40 hours a week between 7am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday with the opportunity for overtime.
