Description Accommodation Finding Officer Part Time - Permanent Grade 4 - £33,366 - £40,476 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 20 hours per week About the Role As an Accommodation Finding Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Accommodation Finding Service to meet legislative requirements and deliver on key priorities. You’ll source and secure suitable housing solutions, ensuring they meet statutory homelessness duties, while developing strong relationships with private landlords, housing associations, and other providers to grow available housing options. This role involves maintaining accurate property records, contributing to property standards and policies, and ensuring a wide range of suitable accommodation is available for households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Duties & Responsibilities Proactively source, secure, and negotiate suitable housing solutions for households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with private landlords, housing associations, and housing providers to grow housing supply and encourage repeat partnerships. Research and identify new property opportunities, carrying out market appraisals and viability assessments to ensure effective use of resources. Support procurement processes, negotiate property adaptations, and ensure all properties meet safety and legislative standards. Collaborate with colleagues and partners across housing services and external agencies to deliver integrated housing solutions. Monitor service performance, analyse data, and provide reports to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Contribute to service development by supporting projects, marketing activities, and initiatives to strengthen housing provision and tenancy sustainment.
