About the Role As an SEMH Teacher, you’ll deliver creative, differentiated lessons designed to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of every learner. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons across a broad curriculum. Embedding trauma-informed and attachment-aware approaches in all aspects of teaching and classroom management. Creating a calm, structured learning environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and motivated. Managing behaviour using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies. Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and therapeutic staff to deliver personalised support plans. Tracking progress and celebrating every success — academic or personal. This role is likely to become permanent for the right candidate. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, term time only. About You The ideal candidate will be: A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience teaching in an SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision setting.
