Job Description Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship – Baby Room Leader - Little Petals Day Nursery Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship as a Baby Room Leader at Little Petals Day Nursery, Sonning Common. We opened our doors for the first time in March 2025, our newly opened setting in the beautiful village of Sonning Common cares for children from as young as 3 months to preschoolers ( 3 months – 5yrs ). We are open all year round from 7.30 am till 6.00 pm. We understand that your child is the most important creation to you and therefore we aim to deliver the best possible care and play experiences for your child. With a view to maintain the important routines you've worked so hard to achieve and working closely with parents, carers and those involved in the child's home life. We Have 2 rooms over 2 floors, babies upstairs and over 2’s are upstairs. Your duties and responsibilities will include; Manage the day-to-day operations of the room Plan and deliver activities in line with EYFS and children’s individual needs Monitor children’s development and maintain accurate records Act as a key person, building strong relationships with children and families Lead, support, and supervise room staff Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and ratio requirements are met Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment Communicate effectively with parents/carers and management Promote positive behaviour and support children’s development Contribute to observations, assessments, and planning Requirements; A Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential Knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding Experience in a senior or supervisory childcare role Strong leadership and communication skills Must have GCSE grades AC or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent Hours; Little Petals Day Nursery is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday The successful candidate will be required to work 36 hours per week STSE2 Benefits Pension Nest 10% off childcare fees Parking on road in the village On a bus route Team building Nursery Name Shoots Sales
