Description
JOB TITLE: Senior Insights Analyst - Credit Cards Acquisition Pricing
LOCATION(S): Chester or Manchester
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time at an office hub mentioned above.
About the Role
We’re looking for a technically skilled Insights Analyst to join our Credit Card Acquisition Pricing team. This is not a pure coding or data science role—you’ll be involved in translating modelling outputs to help inform pricing strategies and drive customer acquisition, while working closely with our stakeholders to shape our strategy on acquiring new customers.
You’ll use Python and statistical techniques to evolve our modelling capabilities, and play a key role in translating data into meaningful actions. We’re looking for someone curious and commercially minded – ready to interpret, challenge, and embed the numbers into real-world decisions.
What you’ll be doing
 1. Maintain and enhance pricing and behavioural models using Python
 2. Develop, fit, and interpret regression models to support acquisition strategy
 3. Act as a Python SME within the team—supporting knowledge transfer and improving modelling infrastructure
 4. Monitor customer behaviour post-acquisition to inform pricing and retention decisions
 5. Collaborate with our stakeholders across Product, Finance, and Credit Risk to translate insights into actionable pricing strategies
What you’ll bring
 6. Strong Python experience (e.g., Pandas, NumPy), especially for regression modelling and data analysis
 7. Solid SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
 8. Proven experience building and interpreting behavioural models
 9. Commercial awareness—able to connect model outputs to business strategy and customer outcomes
 10. Excellent communication skills—able to tell the story behind the data to non-technical audiences
 11. Comfortable in a hands-on role that blends technical work with business engagement
Nice to have
 12. Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) for collaborative coding
 13. Experience with PowerBI or other data visualisation tools
 14. Understanding of the UK credit card market is an advantage
 15. Curiosity about market dynamics and customer behaviour
