An established and growing manufacturing business is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to support operations within a high-volume, process-driven facility. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced team leader looking to step into a challenging and rewarding supervisory role with excellent long-term prospects.
This role follows a 24/7 rotating shift schedule that provides significant rest time, ensuring a healthy work-life balance while maintaining full-time hours.
The Opportunity:
As Production Supervisor, you will oversee a team of production operatives, ensuring output is achieved efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You'll be responsible for coordinating daily activities, supporting team performance, and helping to drive a culture of continuous improvement across the production floor.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production staff, ensuring smooth workflow and productivity.
2. Enforce company health & safety procedures, promoting a culture of safety-first behaviour at all times.
3. Provide hands-on support and leadership, including mentoring, performance reviews, and development planning.
4. Monitor production metrics and adjust plans as needed to meet operational targets.
5. Facilitate regular team meetings and visual performance updates.
6. Work cross-functionally with departments such as quality, maintenance, and logistics to resolve issues quickly.
7. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
What We're Looking For:
8. Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead position within a manufacturing or production setting.
9. Strong knowledge of production processes, H&S compliance, and quality control.
10. A confident communicator who can lead, motivate, and develop teams effectively.
11. Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused.
12. Competent with basic computer systems (MS Office, production tracking tools, etc.).
13. A relevant degree or technical qualification is an advantage but not essential.
