Supporting a child with EHCP The Role Teaching Assistant with experience of working with children with special educational needs including autism and a knowledge of the Early Years curriculum. We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team to support a child in our Early Years classroom, for 4 mornings per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, plus 4 lunchtimes) You will be expected: To support the teacher in the planning and delivery of learning for an individual child. To help with assessment and record keeping of individual children. To support the teacher in the evaluation of learning opportunities for individual children. To support and maintain positive links between home and school To help with the pastoral care and support of all pupils Assist with the development and implementation of Provision Maps and Personal Care programmes. Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher To support an individual child with personal welfare needs. You must be able to demonstrate: Experience in working with children in Early Years and SEND (please specify in application letter your experience with children with SEND). Flexibility and adaptability. Knowledge, skills and understanding of a range of strategies that will ensure the progress of the children.
