Make UK is seeking skilled electrical professionals to join their team in providing essential training to the next generation of engineers. You will pass on your knowledge and experience to help secure the future of manufacturing. As a further education provider, Make UK offers an engaging and motivational workplace where you will mentor and guide Manufacturing & Engineering apprentices.
The role involves developing and delivering engineering education with qualifications such as Pearson BTEC National Diplomas, EAL Vocational Awards, and City and Guilds qualifications. You will teach electrical skills up to level 3.
Applications are welcome from industry professionals looking to transition into education; training will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments
* Creating course materials including handouts and reference materials
* Delivering practical training to apprentices and adults
* Creating a motivational learning environment
* Assessing learners' progress, providing feedback, and preparing progress reports
Required skills and experience:
* Time-served apprentice, relevant City and Guilds (part 3) qualification, full Technical Certificate, national Certificate, or higher
* Level 3 (or higher) teacher training qualification (desired)
* A1 and V1 certifications (desired)
* Industrial experience with knowledge of current industry standards (desirable)
* Good presentation and communication skills
