The Company:
Our client is a 50-year long established engineering SME with a reputation for creating bespoke handling equipment for big brands in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. As a key part of the team, you'll see your designs come to life, from conveyor systems and packaging robots to full production line layouts.
The Role:
* As the design engineer drafting the conceptual and detailed 3D design of special purpose machinery using Autodesk Inventor (80% of your day will be on CAD)
* Adapting and innovating existing designs for new projects
* Creating manufacturing drawings for the sheet metal fabricators on Inventor.
* Giving guidance and answering questions of 2 junior design engineers.
* Getting involved in the full project lifecycle on Inventor, from initial concept to motor sizing calculations
