Are you a hands-on individual with a keen eye for detail, looking for a unique opportunity in food manufacturing research and development? Randstad is recruiting two Pilot Plant Technicians to join Mondelez UK at their Bournville site.
This is a great chance to contribute to the development of new chocolate products in a dynamic pilot plant environment that mimics a mini-factory. You will play a crucial role in bringing new innovations to life!
What you'll be doing:
* Operating Pilot Plant Equipment: Making chocolate from scratch, including roasting cocoa beans, producing cocoa liquor, and creating small-scale chocolate batches (20kg to 80kg). This involves a significant amount of manual handling.
* Data Management: Generating, collecting, and collating project data from experiments, including processing analytical and consumer science data, using internal systems.
* Learning and Development: Receiving comprehensive training on equipment and systems to support your success in the role.
What we're looking for:
* Practical Aptitude: Hands-on approach and comfort with manufacturing equipment.
* Attention to Detail: Precision is essential for experiments and data accuracy.
* Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and proactively after training.
* Quick Learner: Eagerness to learn new practical skills and systems quickly.
* IT Skills: Basic MS Office skills.
* Background: Ideally, a food-related or chemistry-related degree; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Alternatively, experience with manufacturing equipment, especially in catering or food manufacturing, is valuable.
