SEN Tutors Needed – Flexible 1:1 Tuition Work
New Chapter Tuition is looking for passionate and dedicated SEN Tutors to deliver 1:1 personalised tuition to children and young people in Redcar and nearby areas.
Many of the learners we support have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and complex needs. Some learners are currently out of mainstream education or accessing alternative provision, so patience, empathy, and strong relationship-building skills are essential.
This role is ideal for experienced tutors, teachers, teaching assistants, youth workers, mentors, or education professionals who want flexible work and the opportunity to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver 1:1 personalised tuition sessions
*
Support learners with SEN, SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or additional needs

Plan engaging and accessible lessons tailored to each learner

Use flexible, nurturing approaches to support engagement and progress

Build positive relationships with students and families
*
Monitor progress and provide brief session reports
*
Maintain safeguarding standards and accurate records
You should have:

Experience working with children or young people in a tutoring capacity
*
Understanding of SEN / SEND needs (Autism, ADHD, SEMH desirable)
*
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*
A calm, patient, and reliable approach
*
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
*
Right to work in the UK
