Leadership & Team Support Support the Service Manager in managing and supervising support staff Provide leadership in the absence of the Service Manager. Assist in developing rotas, managing shift coverage, and ensuring staffing levels meet service needs. Lead team meetings, supervisions, and reflective practice sessions as required. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture focused on client-centred support. 2. Service Delivery & Client Support Ensure person-centred support plans are developed, implemented, and reviewed regularly. Oversee risk assessments and safety planning for all residents. Support staff in managing challenging behaviours and complex needs effectively and compassionately. Promote independence, empowerment, and progression among service users. Lead on admission, transition, and move-on processes. 3. Safeguarding & Compliance Escalating safeguarding concerns appropriately. Ensure all safeguarding concerns and incidents are recorded and actioned in line with policy. Monitor adherence to policies and procedures, including health & safety, medication management, and confidentiality. Support compliance with external inspections, audits, and internal quality assurance processes. 4. Administration & Record Keeping Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using the organisations case management system. Contribute to reports for internal and external stakeholders, including commissioners, regulators, and families. Support monitoring of KPIs and contribute to service performance improvement plans. 5. Continuous Improvement & Training Identify training needs and support staff development through mentoring and coaching. Stay informed of best practices, legislative changes, and sector developments. Contribute ideas to improve service quality, outcomes, and staff wellbeing. 6. Management Support the Registered Manager to supervise and support the staff team / support workers, ensuring they deliver high-quality support to children and young people, including emotional and practical support. Be accessible to the staff team/ support workers via phone, email and in person throughout the day Provide out of hours (on call) support and guidance to staff team/ support workers Foster positive relationships between staff, children and young people and their families, ensuring the best outcomes for each person's long-term support and development. Ensure regular meetings are held with children, young people, and staff to review and monitor quality of support. Manage employee performance through internal processes i.e. investigations and disciplinaries.
