About Us
We are a well-established local provider of therapeutic residential care and education for boys aged 6-18. Our mission is to enhance the resilience, self-esteem, and abilities of every young person we work with. We currently have a management opportunity at our cozy 4-bedroom home in Carlisle.
Your Role
As a Residential Deputy Manager, you will:
* Ensure the Statement of Purpose reflects the needs of the young people in our care.
* Facilitate effective communication within the team to support operational duties.
* Manage and develop quality direct services for young people.
* Implement North Lakes Children's Services policies and procedures.
* Identify and meet staff training and development needs.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
* Regularly inspect the home to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
* Oversee finance budgets and ensure compliance with company expectations.
* Promote Equality and Diversity policies and Child Protection Procedures.
* Set, monitor, and evaluate quality standards for individual and team performance.
* Maintain high professional practice standards in line with company objectives.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should:
* Understand the challenges faced by young people in care.
* Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent.
* Possess excellent communication and listening skills.
* Be a team player with a willingness to learn.
* Be prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check (which we will cover).
* Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.
* Have a full, clean UK driving licence and be flexible to cover at other homes as needed.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position with a base salary of £31,105.28, with the potential to earn up to £34,362.56 through sleep-in shifts. You will work 42 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern.
