YOUR ROLE
Our Finished Vehicle Logistics team based in Chipping Warden, West Northamptonshire offer unique services providing our customer base with bespoke fleet management and logistics services from transportation, company car, vehicle care and event services.
Our amazing team have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Master Technician where you will carry out all relevant maintenance and warranty work on demonstration and press fleet vehicles to preserve optimum condition following manufacturing standards and guidelines to ensure operational efficiency.
This role will see you working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, and we can offer flexibility with starting and finishing times dependant on requirements. We are offering a competitive salary and overtime opportunities for the right individual.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Director of Technical Services, your main areas of responsibility will be:
* Assist team members to resolve technical issues.
* Monitor and manage workflow reporting using appropriate systems.
* Ensure the completion of all workshop documentation and compliance in line with manufacturer’s procedures.
* Inspect vehicles to establish completion, identifying, reporting and documenting defects.
* Interpret technical service information and data.
* Support and collaborate with wider teams to ensure workshop targets are completed to meet operational demand.
* Ensure all tools and equipment is clean, safe, and stored, reporting damages or faults to management.
* Comply with health and safety processes and procedures, ensuring working environments are clean and tidy and PPE is worn.
* Provide a flexible approach to working patterns supporting wider functions as and when required.
* Carry out other duties as and when required to support the wider operation.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you must be able to demonstrate experience as a vehicle technician with certifications in Level 1, 2 and 3 motor vehicle engineering or equivalent. You will have previous experience of working in a workshop, service or automotive environment, experienced in vehicle diagnostics and interpreting manufacturing specifications.
You will be knowledgeable in vehicle and workshop quality standards and have an inquisitive and problem-solving mindset, where you will ensure operational efficiency and quality standards. It goes without saying that you will be a natural communicator with a strong attention to detail and a keen interest in the automotive industry.
To note this role will be dedicated to a specific client where you will use manufacturer tooling and have further advancement in technical training across multiple automotive brands, therefore you will be someone who is eager to learn and develop your skills further. It would be desirable, however not essential if you have experience of working with EV or Hybrid vehicles.
